Elevate your Punjabi outfit by adding a pair of jutti to it
Punjabi look but without Punjabi Jutti???
Impossible…..
Punjabi jutti has been an important part of the Punjabi outfit since the beginning of time. These are a pair of footwear, conventionally made of leather and embroidered with gold or silver or both threads. With the evolution of time, the famous juttis of Punjab have been upgraded to a lot of different styles, and they are not only worn in Punjab but every part of the country.
Amritsar and Patiala are the centers where the juttis are handcrafted into different styles and transported to various regions of the nation.
The different types of Juttis
- The traditional jutti: The main feature of the traditional jutti is the “M” shaped front, known as the Panna. The Panna is essentially embroidered, similar to the sides of the jutti.
- Nagras: The Punjabi Nagra is famous for its ballerina look. It is closed and rounded from the front. Comfortable yet classy to wear. The most common designs that the nagras are embellished with are leaves, flowers, and Mughal architectural designs.
- Juttis for men: The juttis for men are in the most basic designs with no extra style added to them but a sharp or scooped front, elevating the famous Punjabi kurta pyjama outfit.
- Mirror work mojari: The all-time stunning mirror work goes well along with the juttis as well. Giving a look of the traditional jutti but with a tint of expensive style.
Punjabi juttis are not only famous in Punjab, but people from all over the world are fascinated by them. You can pair them with a Punjabi suit, kurta pajama, and Indo-western upper and jeans, and you can style them in plenty of different styles.
